For more than a decade, Creation Entertainment has put on an annual Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year's convention, held at the Rio Suites Hotel between August 9th and 12th, holds special significance for the former crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D. The second iteration of Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry's "The Next Generation," first aired in 1987, which makes 2012 the show's 25th anniversary. Many of the Next Generation cast members will be taking part in the convention festivities, along with legions of actors and production team members from the other Star Trek films and series.
